    MPG Law Professional Corporation – Receptionist / Legal Assistant Role

    MPG Law is professional and client-focused litigation law firm located in Dundas.  We are committed to providing exceptional legal services and pride ourselves on maintaining a welcoming office environment, delivering outstanding client service, and supporting one another as a team.

    We are seeking an organized, personable, and detail-oriented individual to fill a hybrid receptionist/legal assistant role within our growing practice. This role combines front-office responsibilities with legal administrative support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of work and thrives in a fast-paced professional environment.

    This is also a position where there is room to grow within the firm.

    Responsibilities

    Reception

    • Welcome clients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
    • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls
    • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, courier deliveries, and email inquiries
    • Schedule appointments and maintain lawyers’ calendars
    • Keep the reception area and boardroom organized and client-ready

    Legal Assistant

    • Open, maintain, and close client files
    • Prepare correspondence and legal documents from precedents and dictation
    • Draft routine letters and forms
    • Organize electronic and physical files
    • Coordinate meetings, mediations, discoveries, and court dates
    • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff
    • Assist with file management, billing support, and administrative tasks as required

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a legal office (preferred)
    • Experience as a legal receptionist, legal assistant, or in a similar administrative role
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities
    • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Professional, positive, and client-focused attitude
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
    • Experience with legal practice management software is considered an asset

    • Competitive salary ($50,000–$65,000 based on experience)
